9 Tips for Hosting an Epic at Home Eurovision Party
Looking to host the most epic home Eurovision party possible this year without breaking the bank? Worry not, Weeno is here for you and we know Eurovision!
When it comes to what to wear for a Eurovision party, the options are rather varied. The best advice I can give (and what I find to be the funnest way to do it) is to put the names of a bunch of competing countries in a hat and have yourself and your guests pick them out at random. Whatever they get, they have to dress like. Check out this guide on Eurovision outfits for more inspiration.
It’s also a great idea for the food and drink because you can also get everyone to bring some food and drink that’s from/themed on that country.
It’s great to see how people interpret their chosen country. Are they going to deck themselves up in flags or dress as a celebrity/icon from that country? Who knows. It’s a Eurovision classic.
The only thing is that you want to be cheering when that country performs, yet you won’t know who will be performing in the final till a few days before. Which isn’t quite long enough to pick an outfit.
So I recommend going with the big five - Italy, France, UK, Spain and Germany. These will be in the final no matter what since they pay Eurovision big money to do so.
Also since this is 2024 and Eurovision is being held in Sweden, you can add Sweden to your list. That’s 6 countries you know will defiantly be in the final. #2 Eurovision Drinking Games
Eurovision night is a long night. If you don’t have a plan of action in place the likelihood of every one of your party guests making it to the end is slim. So games can be incredibly helpful (and fun).
We’re going to go through some of the more popular ones starting with the drinking games.
You want 2 sets of drinking games, one for the performance section of the show and one for the scoring section. Everyone neglects the scoring section but it’s one of the longest and most boring parts of the show. So let’s get some fun out of it.

#4 Eurovision Quiz
Next up we have the Eurovision quiz which I find to be a great way to kickstart your Eurovision party. It works great for getting everyone in the Eurovision mood. Of course you’ll need a judicator and some questions, but then you’re ready to go.

#5 Eurovision Score Cards
Finally in regards to games to get sorted, you’re going to need blank score cards. Obviously we also included these in the ultimate Eurovision Party pack. Just print them off and fill them in. That way whilst the scores are being given on the T.V, you can add up your own scores and work out which act you thought was best/worst.
These also work great for keepsakes.
#6 Eurovision Food and Drink
This is technically tip 6 and 7 for hosting an epic Eurovision party but I’m going to put them into one section because the same idea works for both.
We recommend (like we did with the Eurovision outfits) picking countries at random and bringing food and drinks from that country. So for France you could provide some wine and cheese, for Germany you could do pretzels and beer. You get the point.
Drink

#8 Capture the Moment
Finally, my top tip for making your Eurovision themed party a memorable one is just to take photos. That way you CAN’T forget it. Polaroids are my favorite.
If you don’t have a Polaroid camera and don’t want to spend that much money, I recommend an Instax which you can pick up here on amazon USA or here on amazon UK. Just don’t forget to pick up extra film.
