So you’re hosting a Eurovision themed party this year? Well good on you. But what are you going to wear? How are you expected to fully submerge yourself in the Eurovision feeling if you’re lounging around in your pyjamas?

With that being said, on to the Eurovision outfits!
Now it’s time to fold away your pyjamas and start considering your outfit.
How to choose a Eurovision party outfit?
I recommend putting all the countries names in a hat and having yourself and your guest pick one at random. Whatever they get they have to dress like that country and bring food and drink from that country.
It’s a fantastic way to go about it and you end up with some interesting looks, food, and drink. Which is always good.
However you could just pick whatever country you want and go with that.
Which Country To Dress Like for Eurovision?
Now, ideally you want to dress as a country that will be featured in the show. i.e, someone who is performing that you can cheer for.
We don’t actually know who the final acts will be till the last minute but what we do know is 5 countries who will defiantly be in that final. They are France, the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. The reason they will be in the final for sure is because they are the “big five” which basically means they give Eurovision a shed load of money to be in the final no matter what.
And as Eurovision 2024 will be in Sweden, you can also get away with cheering for Sweden. Which means there are 6 countries you can defiantly and confidently dress as. So let’s go through them.
Swedish Eurovision Outfit Ideas
For obvious reasons, we’re going to kickstart this Eurovision style guide off with Sweden. In which case you have loads of options.
I like to split any Eurovision country themed outfit into 3 styles, style 1 is to go flag chic, basically just dressing head to toe in clothes with that countries flag printed on it.
Option 2 would be to go more costume like and dress as someone or something from that country. (which is my favourite option).
Then option 3 which is more subtle is to go in the colours of that country.
Option 3 is the least fun unless you’re having a Eurovision party out at a bar or somewhere you don’t really know, in which case subtle would be best. For example…

This outfit I found on Pinterest. It’s simple, paired back and subtle, YET it still screams Swedish Eurovision outfit thanks to that blue and yellow.
Here’s what you need to re-create that look.
Now even though I love those subtle hits, I still think you should consider going with more of a quirky/cliché outfit because this is Eurovision after all. It’s not meant to be classy or put together, it’s meant to be over the top and camp.

There’s loads of ideas when it comes to Sweden, which I will recommend below, but one I can’t get out my head is recycling the Ikea bag that you probably already have stuffed away in a cupboard somewhere and DIYing something beautiful like these…
Also if you don’t own an Ikea bag it’s a great excuse to pop down to Ikea. Very camp, very Eurovision 2024.

Could this be the year the UK bags the trophy? Very doubtful. However that song is pretty good, don’t get me wrong, it’s no Sam Ryder Spaceman, but it’s quite boppy.

If you’re going with Spain then these options are my absolute favourite. No one’s looking at these and not knowing which country you’re suppose to be and if that wasn’t enough, you get plenty of frilly bits to dance with.
French Eurovision Outfit Ideas
France is another one where you have absolutely loads of options to choose from. Above are my favourite but don’t be scared to get creative and go a little bit crazy with your outfit!
